Mr. Weidaw graduated cum laude from Ohio University in 1970 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. After graduation, he attended The Ohio State University College of Law where he received his JD degree in 1973. He began his public accounting career in the tax department of Ernst & Young’s Cleveland office. He is a Partner with Wilson, Shannon & Snow, Inc. and has been with the firm since 1979. He is a member of the Ohio and American Societies of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio and Licking County Bar Associations, as well as the Ohio University College of Business Executive Advisory Board. He is also an adjunct accounting professor at the Zanesville campus of Ohio University. In the community, he has been active on the Licking Memorial Hospital Development Council, United Way of Licking County, the Newark Rotary Club, the treasurer of Newark Senior High School’s scholarship endowment, “A Call to College,” treasurer of the Newark City Schools Levy PAC, and a board member of the Institute for Industrial technology. He has also served as President of the Licking County Bar Association. Mr. Weidaw has two children who are also alumni of Ohio University.
